Ex-DFSA director seeks artwork to feature in new production

Just received this message from Eileen Tracey who graduated last year:

Hi Rosie, how are you?

Just wanted to email with a proposition regarding a short film I'm currently directing.

I've been asked by a theatre company based in Belfast to direct a short about a lesbian couple having a private conversation then argument in an art galley. We are about 4 weeks from our shoot dates and now that everything is cast etc we're going to focus on filling the gallery with art.

I was wondering if you would mind helping us out. We are looking for art work that would fall under the theme of longing - and all the sub themes such as grief, loss, unrequited love etc. I would be more than happy to send over a script or any more material you would like to see. It would be great if you, the tutors or any of the students had any video work, photographs or drawings/paintings which might work for us.

We unfortunately can't provide pay for the art but the exposure will be beneficial for the artists and their details will be shared on our website and fully credited in the film.

Please let me know if you or your students would be interested in providing some digital copies of work.

If you can help please send digital copies of your work to Eileen at punchedcanvasproductions@gmail.com
