Dear readers,

My debut LP is out on Tomlab Records on April 13th.

It's called Catgut Tape and is a personal collection of songs that I wrote, recorded and distributed by limited CDR and digital download on various 'EPs' throughout my late teens and early twenties under the pseudonym of Catgut.

This album therefore reflects on growing up, coming down, fear, love, dogs and the rural places in which I grew up; Essex and Aberdeenshire.

Some of the tracks were even recorded as an undergraduate here in Farnham and I owe no small thanks to the staff of DFSA for allowing me to focus in my final year of study on developing as a recording artist.

I have continued to write and record and will have an LP of new songs out on Tomlab later this year called Some Waking Woman. However, I am very pleased to be able to first release the Catgut Tape LP on a label that I really admire for singlehandedly releasing the likes of Deerhoof, Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, David Shrigley, Xiu Xiu, Final Fantasy, etc, and has shown an unheard-of lack of cynicism in supporting my music.

Catgut Tape is available to pre-order as a vinyl LP (with free digital download), CD and digital download at these and other outlets:
